Origins: ELECTROUNIVERSO recognizes its origins in Plin Metal.

The company was founded in 1954 by a group constituted by Alfredo Núñez. It started its activities in a small premise located at the corner of Alberti Street and Constitución Street.
By that time, the company was mainly specialized in articles and accessories for the gas, hardware, and electric appliances industries.
In 1965 it moved to 1400 Jujuy Avenue, and finally to its present location on 1061 Jujuy Avenue. The electrical materials became the main products among others, and towards 1980, the company’s profile was already clearly defined as a wholesale supplier.
Retail customers, professional as well as technician, found in Plin Metal a service and a suitable answer to their requirements, regarding products and prices.
And this policy of Service has been the cause of a sustained and unwavering growth in each of its phases. With the respect that is typical of a family company, Plin Metal is starting to be consolidated in the market.

Growth

Already in the 90s, the premises, although highly improved in relation to the first years, required a complete updating. And it was thus, that in 1992, the first big building improvement was carried out. In 1995 the company became known as Plin Metal ELECTRIC, clearly defining its orientation. Of course, with the change in the name other services were added and these established a landmark in the sector. Such was the case of Fax Express, the SAT delivery- in the day service , and our Threfold PSP Guarantee The company is now reaching, after 50 years of existence, a new development phase, and this time as ELECTROUNIVERSO

At present

ELECTROUNIVERSO makes its debut on October 1st, 2004, in a launching event fulfilling all expectations. The new company has truly the best historical qualities of Plin Metal ELECTRIC: reliability, soundness and service, and also a first level methodology of work. It relies on up-dated technology, at par with the best in the world, but also on superlative training of its Human Resources. The change in the name is certainly accompanied by a great number of improvements and Services, described in this site. Thus, a new phase is opened in a history we are still writing.
